Lisbon, capital of the first global empire, where you can taste the world's best custard tarts and discover many unexpected wonders. A charming city, where colourful clothes still hang out to dry on the buildings clotheslines. Enjoy the contrast between 18th century geometrical avenues and winding, narrow medieval streets. This seven hills city is paved with whimsically patterned cobblestone sidewalks and decorated with tile covered buildings from different periods of its rich history. The Tagus river, visible from any of the city's breathtaking viewpoints, reflects a warm and gentle light that will turn all your pictures into works of art.

Example of a Suggested Tour:

This tour shows you the city's highlights. Visit the old district of Alfama and feel the spirit of a picturesque Moorish neighbourhood. Stroll around the main avenues and streets, like Avenida de Liberdade, Rua Augusta, Rua do Ouro, and admire the famous steel lift of Santa Justa. Enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of D. Pedro IV square, with its street cafes, statues, and theatres. The impressive Rossio train station is a Romantic revival of the 16th century Portuguese architectural style called “Manuelino”. From Parque Eduardo VII, gaze upon the downtown area, hit by a devastating earthquake in 1755, and calmly learn how a “new” Lisbon emerged from the ruins.

No tour of Lisbon would be complete without a visit to the Belém district, on the western part of the city, where most monuments celebrate the Portuguese Discoveries. There will be stops at the 500 years old Belém Tower and Jerónimos Monastery, and at the Discoveries Monument. No, we didn't forget anything... Not even some free time for you to taste Pastéis de Belém, the famous local custard tarts.

This tour is just a suggestion, you can customize it according to your interests and available time.
